Princess Leia Organa was a Senator and key leader of the Rebellion. Leia used her status and experience to navigate the political unrest in the galaxy while providing covert assistance to the Rebel cause. Eventually putting herself in danger on the front lines of the fight, Leia participated in a number of pivotal conflicts with the Empire, including the Battle of Yavin and the ground assault during the Battle of Endor. Over time she recognized and grew her strength in the use of the Force.
